2021-05-10Link libvixl statically.Vladimir Marko
Instead of including shared library libvixl.so in the ART Module, link libvixl statically to all binaries that use it, namely libart-compiler.so and libart-disassembler.so which shall increase in size with the additional libvixl code. The ART Module size with default libvixl symbol visibility: - before: 88460730B - after: 86973943B (-1.42MiB) With hidden libvixl symbol visibility: - before: 88337851B - after: 84962808B (-3.22MiB) (This is with master-art where we do not have a boot profile and therefore compile more code in boot image.) The change from default to hidden visibility is done in https://android-review.googlesource.com/1697237 . The include_dirs property causes problems when unbundling as they can directly reference directories inside the runtime module repositories which will break the unbundled build as those repositories will not be present. While these usages do not cause problems as they are references within the runtime module repository they need removing so that the build can enforce no usage of runtime module repository paths in the include_dirs property. The main goal is to introduce "bare" branches to labels (as opposed to the existing bare branches with relative offsets, whose direct use we want to eliminate). These branches' delay/forbidden slots are filled manually and these branches do not promote to long (the branch target must be within reach of the individual branch instruction). The secondary goal is to add more branch tests (mainly for bare vs non-bare branches and a few extra) and refactor and reorganize the branch test code a bit. The third goal is to improve idiom recognition in the disassembler, including branch idioms and a few others.
